SCAD
As you roam about town, you will see SCAD everywhere you turn. The Savannah College of Art and Design has restored many vacant buildings over the years into college facilities. They have been a blessing to the revitalization of the Historic District. Enjoy! http://www.scad.edu/

St Patrick's Day Parade
St. Paddy's Day Parade in SAV. Picture tailgating, bagpipes and the biggest party you've ever attended, and you still cannot fathom this major event. Should you attend the parade, and I highly recommend it, you should start planning the year before. A lot of people attend this parade, really, a lot! If you do not have a great time here, you will not have a great time anywhere. It's amazing! You really have to experience it once in your lifetime. Enjoy! http://www.savannahsain

Forsyth Park
This thirty acre park rests just outside the Historic District and is engulfed by the Victorian District in Downtown Savannah. Forsyth Park, named after the Governor of Georgia at the time of the expansion in 1851 John Forsyth, is anchored by the majestic fountain modeled after the fountains found in Place de la Concorde in Cuzco, Peru. Any given day you will find people taking pictures or making paintings the fountain. The park has been home to many weddings and special even

Tubby's River Street
SHIP SHOTS!!! Tubby's has two locations, one out on Thunderbolt and one on River Street. When you make your way down to River Street, you must stop at Tubby's. Upstairs from Huey's, Tubby's has a great view of the river, a good vibe and ship shots. Yes, when a ginormous cargo ship goes by, the bartender will ring the bell to alert all they can have a ship shot for one dollar; like I said, good vibe. Good food and live music round out a great experience. Also, first Friday fir

Colonial Park Cemetery
Colonial Park Cemetery dates back to around 1750 and rests in the middle of the Historic District. You can stroll through the grounds since it is open everyday. If you find the location to be a bit odd, do not become bewildered. The cemetery was enclosed to make room for the city's expansion. Now, since that was in the 1850's, and it cost a lot of money to dig a grave, the town just picked up the headstones and built right on top of the dead. So yes, even if you are one of th

Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens
We went here at Christmas time to see the lights, HOLY MOLLY there was a lot of lights and it is much bigger than it looks from the road. I went back a few weeks ago and everything was just starting to bloom. They have about 18 different gardens that bloom at all different times of the year. My husband bought me a membership so that I can go back anytime I want and sit a bench and read in the gardens. I cannot wait for the Cottage Garden, Rose Garden and Crape Myrtle to be in

Keller’s Flea Market
We live right down the street from this flea market and somehow it took us months before we went and looked around. From the road it does not look that big but it is huge. There is over 400 vendors selling Antiques, fresh produce, cloths, electronics and all kinds of junk. (Even kittens and puppies). Check it out some weekend when you have a few hours to kill. http://ilovefleas.com/

First Friday Fireworks on the Savannah River
My husband LOVES fireworks and these are pretty darn good. So grab a cocktail/beer, have a seat on bench over looking the river and ENJOY http://www.riverstreetsavannah.com/event/first-friday-fireworks/

Sorrel-Weed House
Known as one of the most haunted houses in Savannah, this peachy colored estate also has a very interesting history. I was introduced to the house through the book, "Recollections of a Confederate Staff Officer" by Moxley Sorrel. General Sorrel was the youngest Confederate General and grew up in the home. I recommend reading up on the history of the home, as well as the land on which it was built. It is a very pretty house to see in person, so you must make it a stop. If you
